Day 81

Cody konked out on the way home from story time today. He stayed awake the whole time. He loves watching the kiddos. Especially his brother.

A bribery picture/smile.

Corn starch and shaving cream. Even Cody got in on the action with his toes.

Day 79

My little angry bird. He picked it out all by himself.

Our Halloween party was great fun! I'm so glad I got to see my friends. Cohen had a blast. Cody hung in there just fine. I think everyone had a good time.

Day 75

The circus is in town (no really, it is), and we were the side show act at Sam's today.

Cody is a car seat hater and cried the whole 5 minutes it takes us to get there. When we get there, I pouch him and get Cohen out the car and he still continues to cry. I ignore the looks of at least three people while walking through the parking lot who clearly think I'm torturing my child. Once we get inside, I'm having trouble locating my member card, and Cohen runs off. He never runs off. I find the card and Cohen, Cody calms down, we start shopping. Cohen decides staying with another little boy and his g-pa is far more attractive than listening to my requests for him to stay close. So in the buggy he goes, now crying and yelling at me. "I be nice mama! i dont wanna sit in here! get me out!!" He calms down, and Cody starts up so I de-pouch him and am now walking around holding a 16pound babe and pushing the huge cart with one hand. I think upon giving birth, mothers should sprout an extra arm per child. You know, to add to the freak show factor.

I'd promised Cohen we would get pizza and a drink before we left, so we check out and go to the cafe'. Remember, I'm doing everything one handed since Cody refused to be worn. I can feel the eyes of this old lady just digging in to me the whole time I'm getting Cohen out the buggy (with one arm), getting our food situated at the table (with one arm), and while we're eating (again, one arm). I debate nursing Cody right there to really give her something to look at (and so maybe he won't cry in the car), but decide since he's content, and my boobs are over-producing again as he's going through yet another growth spurt, that the potential for drowning him in milk is pretty high and I should just wait.

For our finale act, Cohen is on his very last bite of pizza, gags, and proceeds to throw up everything he just ate. At least he made it in the plate.

Have you ever tried to carry a really flimsy paper plate filled with vomit to a trash can... With one hand? Yeah...

We make a hasty exit, load up the car, listen to Cody cry the last half of the five minutes it takes us to get home. Cohen falls asleep IN OUR DRIVEWAY as I'm pulling up to the garage. Then we had an encore presentation when he saw I closed the garage door behind us. "But I wanna go ooouuttsiiiiiiiiddee!!!!"

Yeah. Side show freaks we are. Is it tomorrow yet?

Day 74

Toddler storytime. Cohen got clocked with a truck in the face today. He's fine. It must just be a little karma from him pushing all those kids down when we used to go to babygarten.

Zara's kitchen and cash register. Maybe he'll be a chef someday.
